Use of cookies
Our website uses cookies to improve navigation and to obtain statistical data about the visits received.
Cookies are small text files that are installed on the device from which you visit our website and that automatically provide us with information. Cookies can never be considered as computer viruses.
- They do not damage your computer or slow it down in any way.
- You can delete or refuse our cookies at any time by setting up your web browser.
- Cookies are only associated with the browser of a specific computer (an anonymous user).
- Cookies allow us to recognise the browsers of registered users after they have authenticated themselves for the first time, without them having to register each time they visit the site in order to access areas and services reserved exclusively for them.
- Our cookies are used to identify a user's session ("session cookies") on a computer ("temporary cookies") and do not themselves contain the user's name or any other personal data.
- The cookies used cannot read the cookie files created by other providers.
- The user has the option of configuring their browser to receive an on-screen notification of the receipt of cookies or to prevent the installation of cookies on their hard drive.
Please refer to your browser's instructions and manuals for more information.
We can classify cookies according to different criteria. Taking into account their origin, we can classify them as follows:
Third party cookies:
These are installed on your computer by a third-party company and their purpose is, among other things, to collect useful data to improve our Website. Some of the data collected may include the number of visits received, the origin of the visits, the keywords used to find us or the peak visiting times. You can configure your browser not to receive these cookies and they will not be installed.
First party cookies:
These are sent to the User's device from a device or domain managed by the data controller and from which the service requested by the User is provided.
As indicated by the Spanish Data Protection Agency in its guide on cookies, they can be classified according to their purpose. The Spanish Data Protection Agency suggests the following classification, although it is not intended to be an exhaustive list:
Technical cookies:
These are cookies that allow the user to navigate through a website, platform or application and use the various options or services available, including those used by the publisher to manage and operate the website and enable its functions and services; for instance, to control traffic and data communication, to identify the session, to access restricted sections, to remember the elements that make up an order, to complete the purchase process of an order, to manage payment, to control fraud related to the security of the service, to request registration or participation in an event, to count visits for the purpose of billing software licences used by the service (website, platform or application), to use security elements during navigation, to store content for the distribution of video or sound, to enable dynamic content (e.g. loading of animated text or images) or to share content via social networks.
Also included in this category, due to their technical nature, are cookies that allow the most efficient management of advertising spaces that the publisher has included in a website, application or platform as an additional element of the design or "layout" of the service offered to the user, based on criteria such as edited content, without collecting information from users for other purposes, such as the personalisation of this advertising content or other content.
Technical cookies are exempted from the obligations established in article 22.2 of the LSSI when they allow the provision of the service requested by the user, as is the case with the cookies mentioned in the previous paragraphs. However, if these cookies are also used for non-exempt purposes (e.g. behavioural advertising), they are subject to these obligations.
Interface customisation cookies:
These cookies store information so that the user can access the Service with certain features that differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as language preferences, the number of search results to display, the appearance or content of the Service based on the type of browser used, or the region from which the Service is accessed.
If the user chooses these features (for example, by selecting the language of a website by clicking on the flag icon of the country concerned), the cookies are exempted from the obligations of article 22.2 of the LSSI, as they are considered a service expressly requested by the user, provided that the cookies are used exclusively for the purpose chosen.
Analytical or measurement cookies:
These cookies allow the Responsible Party to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users on the websites to which they are linked, including measuring the impact of advertising. The information collected by these cookies is used to measure the activity of websites, applications or platforms with the aim of making improvements based on the analysis of usage data.
With regard to the processing of data collected through analytics cookies, GT29 stated that, although they are not exempt from the requirement to obtain informed consent for their use, they are unlikely to pose a risk to users' privacy as long as they are first-party cookies, they process aggregated data for strictly statistical purposes, they provide information about their use, and they allow users to opt out.
Behavioural advertising cookies:
These cookies store information about the user's behaviour, obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, allowing the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on this behaviour.
Finally, based on their persistence in the system, we can classify cookies as follows:
Persistent cookies:
These cookies store data on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie controller, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
Session cookies:
These cookies are designed to collect and store data while the user is accessing a website. They are usually used to store information that only needs to be kept for the duration of the service requested by the user in a single session (e.g. a list of products purchased) and disappear at the end of the session.
